The weather finally improved for the weekend so Colin and I headed to the other side of the Cascade Mountains for a camping trip. We had a great time getting there as well as a relaxing night by the campfire.

Whilst on the I-90 we stopped at a small ski village to see some houses almost buried by the snow.

Along the way we stopped at Roslyn. For any fans of Northern Exposure this is also known as Cicely Alaska.

They call this the dry side of the cascades.

Our campsite is the island in the foreground. We had the whole place to ourselves.

On the trip home we took the Steven's pass route, which was a beautiful as we had been led to believe (as long as you are not afraid of falling off the edge).
